The lowest level of the château contains its oldest stones: vaulted medieval cellars spanning the entire footprint of the building. Massive limestone arches — some with original medieval mason marks still visible — create a dramatic, atmospheric space that has existed since the Middle Ages.
Historically used for wine storage, provisions, and as a pumping station, the cellars today host private dinners for up to 16 guests. Candlelight, a long oak table, and the constant cool temperature create an atmosphere impossible to replicate in any modern venue. The former kitchens, pantry, and wine storage rooms are accessible on the estate tour.
Above the bedrooms, the second floor has been cleaned up and fitted with electricity and climate control, providing service rooms, storage, and additional flexible space. The attic (les greniers) houses historical archives — centuries of family documents, photographs, and correspondence that reveal life at Chazeuil through revolution, war, and restoration.
