The ground floor of the château unfolds as a sequence of reception rooms in enfilade — the classic French arrangement where rooms connect through aligned doorways, creating dramatic perspectives and a sense of ceremonial procession.
You enter through the Grand Vestibule (90 m²), anchored by a wide oak stairway with double flights rising to the first floor. To one side, the Grand Salon (75 m²) — the château's social heart — features a carved stone fireplace with caryatid figures, a crystal chandelier, herringbone oak parquet, and fabric-trimmed wallpapers. The Second Salon (52 m²) mirrors it with a marble fireplace and oak paneling. The Bureau-Bibliothèque (50 m²) offers leather sofas, Persian rugs, and shelves of historical volumes. The Fumoir, the Salle à Manger (56 m²), and the fully restored Cuisine (28 m²) complete the ground floor. Ceilings throughout soar to 4.7 metres — a scale of space that modern architecture rarely attempts.
